|
Places are part of the Earth's surface. They can be large or small. Places usually have names and boundaries. Usually, they have unique physical and/or human-related properties.
Places can be of any type. They include continents, islands, countries, regions, states, cities, neighborhoods, villages, rural areas, and empty areas. Each place has its own uniqueness, which sets it apart from other places. Unique physical properties include: e.g. climate pattern, landforms, soils, vegetation, and animal life. Unique human properties consist of, e.g. language, religion, population distribution, and quality of life.
